Jet'n in Texas

Battery powered AMD Hawk, will it fly?

This will have the highest wing loading of anything I have flown thus far, so I'm sure I will be a little nervous when I maiden it. I would have maidened it a couple of weeks ago, but was taxiing out to the runway and the ESC poofed!.
I have sent it off the the manufactorer (Kontronik) and they said it would be 3 to 5 weeks turnaround. So, hopefully I will get it back in a couple of weeks.

This plane was bought used and previously was powered by a dynamax fan with a 90 sized glow ducted fan motor. I have converted it to a EDF using a Dynamax fan converted to a large brushless outrunner Extreme Screamers motor. (system sold by XPS)

This jet will run on a 12s 4500 35c power source with a XPS Dynamax conversion power system. The thrust is impressive, I blew over a couple of kitchen chairs testing it at WOT in the house.

The specs from XPS is that on 12s at 109 amps, it should put our 15lbs static thrust.
Since the plane weights 14 1/4 lb's fully charged, that should be sufficient.

My only concern getting it slowed down and back on the ground in in one piece.

Should be interesting, I definitely want to fly it where there is plenty of runway

Note, in the pictures shown below, the square hole seen in the duct is where the ESC goes when I get it back from being repaired or exchanged.
